A beautiful girl in WINTER

This girl is a world traveler, an aunt, a business owner, an artist, a soul searcher, a foodie, and a kind spirit.  I am so happy that I have had the opportunity to know this fine girl.  Sometimes you meet a person and they touch a little place in your heart.  I will always think fondly of this beauty and I feel so glad to know her.

This pretty little senior!

These pictures were taken this last fall.  When it was warm and the trees were green and the sun was not a figment of our imagination.   It was all I could not to comment on the beauty of her freckles or her beautiful red hair over and over again.  Obviously I have an unhealthy obsession with freckles and red hair.  In the market I can be heard shouting across the store at someones wicked cool red hair, all the while secretly wondering if it is real or came from a box.
But this is all her! She was so sweet and humble as we worked to create these beautiful images.  Talk about the whole package!

One Year Pictures of a cute little dude.

This little guy was so much fun!  He smiled at everything!!! We tickled him, bounced him, stripped him down and he smiled the whole time.  As I ask my client Yi for input on what she wanted for her portraits she was totally open.
"I trust you!" She said.
That my friends is a lot of wonderfulness.  Where a client can view your work and and then say, I like everything you do so go for it!  Also a little more pressure as I hold ALL the responsibility.  I am so grateful for this.  It allow me to be creative, to create something special just for them and to capture them as they are!  Happy one year Luke.

A little gift package for my brides and grooms

I am so excited to share with you the little care packages I put together for my 2014 Brides and Grooms.   Let's face it, I wouldn't be here without them.  And I am so grateful that they have entrusted me with one of the most important days in their lives!  So, because I feel so blessed to get to work with you I have put together a little "I am so exceed two work with you" box.  The package contains four things. A little card totally made with love, a lavender pouch that smells like heaven under your pillow, a lip balm for the dry Ohio winter and my favorite item.... a silver spoon with your initials engraved upon it!  Cutest ever right??? This little treasure I got off of Etsy.  The most awesome hand made website known to man. I hope your little surprise made you felled loved.  I will see you all in a few months! Eeeeek.  Wedding season is so close!!

Why an engagement session is so important!!!

On your wedding day I will be the person that is with you more than your fiancĂ© ladies!  I will be there when you slip into your dress, I will fix your stray hairs, I will get you a drink and ask you if you need to sit for a second.  I will go find your mother if you become a nervous reck.  I readjust your dress and help change your shoes.  I will be with you every second of that important day.  The opportunity to not just meet with the two of you but to spend time with you both in a real setting, working together, laughing together, creating a relationship makes all the difference in the world.  So when I show up on your wedding day we meet as friends, both excited for your wedding day.  Not as strangers awkwardly meeting for the first time.
This couple drove a long way for this here little shoot and boy was it worth every mile they drove.  I had a great time getting them to relax in front of my intimidating little camera.  It takes a little time to be "you" in front of the camera sometimes.  To be honest, I hate having my picture taken.  I feel crazy awkward.  But they were naturals.  In fact, they were so busy laughing and kissing I think they forgot I was there.  I look forward to meeting them again on their wedding way.  They now know what to expect from me and I have made two new friends!

Girl in a forest

My kids have started school and I am reacclamating myself to more time for myself and more time with my little babies.  I have missed my big kids and my husband for that matter.  He is a professor that has also gone back to school and I miss them all.  But while they are gone I will spend my time with beautiful clients creating beautiful images.  This little one turned eight and this is her baptismal dress.  What a lovely girl I do declare!  Thank you for allowing me to fill my time with wonderful people!

Family photo's at Cherry Springs

This is my girlfriend from Idaho and her sweet little family.  They were angels by the way!!!  The kids smiled when asked, the big kids helped the younger children and the family worked together like they liked each other.  Sometimes I work with kids that I have to trick or persuade but not these guys thank goodness.  We went up to a little area called Cherry Springs.  It is the only place in my home town that has any greenery as it is a desert town.  It was so nice to shoot here in my Idaho with the beautiful light and the wonderful people.  See you in my dreams…...
